What Can I Expect When I See An Endodontist? Part 3 – First Office Visit

Welcome Doctor.  Whether this is your patient’s first visit to our office or they are returning, rest assured we are very pleased you and your patient have chosen Langley Endodontics for their endodontic care.  Our goal is to make this the best dental experience your patient has ever had.

As most patients who come into our office have an appointment, we will be expecting them.  If they have come to our office without an appointment we look forward to helping them in the most convenient and timely way possible.  When setting up your patient’s appointment we will ask that they be in our office at a specific time.  Time is an important commodity in this world, maybe the most important we have.  Please be confident that we understand the importance of their time and respect that.  We strive to be on time for all appointments and make it a priority to schedule appointment times that are appropriate for your patient’s needs.   Given that, we work with human beings and with root canal systems that are complex and unique to every person.  Our goal is to make this the best dental experience they have ever had and an important part of that is creating a beautiful and biologically functional three dimensional root canal filling.  All of this takes time, and sometimes more time than we expected.  Be confident that we will give them the best treatment we are capable of and will not let a time constriction diminish that.  Occasionally we will need to have your patient back for a second visit to achieve our endodontic goals for them.

Some people may be concerned that the time they were asked to be in the office is not the same time that they see the doctor.  There are a number of reasons for this depending on the patient’s individual situation and needs.  Often it is to fill out paper work such as patient, insurance, and medical information.  Some people have minimal information to relay to us, others have a lot.  Some people write fast, others not so much.  Anyways, you probably get my drift.  We try extremely hard to be on time but alas, our imperfect mortality occasionally bests the clock.

As always we at Langley Endodontics are pleased to be of service to you and your patient and value your patronage!
